The Kyoto Kachokan Museum is an art museum located in Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto City. It exhibits artworks themed around flowers and birds, primarily featuring porcelain from the German Meissen kiln and flower and bird paintings by Japanese painter Uemura Atsushi.
◇Attractions
・Meissen Porcelain: Exhibiting porcelain from the Meissen kiln from the 18th and 19th centuries. The collection of vessels and decorative vases featuring small, adorable floral motifs, such as "Snowballs" and "Forget-Me-Nots," is unique even on a global scale.
・Uemura Atsushi's Works: Exhibiting flower and bird paintings by Japanese painter Uemura Atsushi. Uemura Atsushi is the third generation of the Uemura family, a master of Japanese painting, whose grandfather, Uemura Shōen, and father, Uemura Shōkō, were masters. His works are characterized by a realistic yet poetic elegance, as they were painted based on observations of birds kept in his garden.
