The Arashiyama Rakan

The Arashiyama Rakan are a group of arhat statues located in front of Hogon-in Temple in Arashiyama. The impressive sight of 70 unique arhat statues lined up in a row is captivating, attracting many visitors.

・A new power spot: The origins of the Arashiyama Rakan began when people from all over the country donated stone statues, entrusting their personal thoughts to the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake (1995).
