What’s the Most Famous Japanese Food in the World?

Most people would probably say “sushi”—and I couldn’t agree more. If you're visiting Japan, I highly recommend trying sushi here at least once. It’s not only delicious, but also completely different from the sushi you might find outside of Japan.

Just a 2-minute walk from our hotel, there's a wonderful sushi spot called Takara Sushi.

This cozy place is run by an elderly couple and is open only at lunchtime. They serve just one menu: 7-piece nigiri sushi. It may surprise you, but this amazing lunch costs only ¥1,000 (about $6.80)!

The taste is outstanding, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The chef and his wife are very friendly, and you can even communicate with them in English. The menu is also available in multiple languages, making it the perfect sushi spot for our guests.
