Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple is a Tendai Buddhist temple located in Arashiyama. Its impressive display of 1,200 unique arhat statues attracts many visitors.

・Arhat Statues: 1,200 arhat statues, donated by members of the public since the 1980s, are lined up within the temple grounds.
・Main Hall: A beautiful Kamakura-style structure designated as an Important Cultural Property.
・Two Nenbutsu-ji Temples: Adashino Nenbutsu-ji Temple is a 10-minute walk away, famous for its 8,000 stone statues and stone pagodas.

It is approximately a 15-minute bus ride from Arashiyama Station on the Arashiyama Electric Railway, in the heart of Arashiyama, and approximately a 20-minute bus ride from our hotel.
