Notice of Changes to Kyoto City Accommodation Tax(Applicable to stays from Sunday, March 1, 2026)

Please be informed that the Kyoto City accommodation tax rates will be revised for stays from Sunday, March 1, 2026.

The revised tax rates will apply regardless of the reservation date or the payment date.The accommodation tax, calculated based on the nightly room rate, will be collected separately at the property.

Please note that even if your accommodation charges have been prepaid, the accommodation tax must be paid on-site. We appreciate your understanding.

Accommodation Tax Rates Before Revision

(Up to Saturday, February 28, 2026)Per person, per night

• Less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200

• JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500

• JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000

Accommodation Tax Rates After Revision

(From Sunday, March 1, 2026 onward)Per person, per night

• Less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200

• JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400

• JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000

• JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000

The “accommodation charge” refers to the room-only rate and does not include meals or other additional services.
