Hirosawa Pond is a pond with a circumference of approximately 1.3 km in Saga-Arashiyama. It is beloved by many as a place of magnificent nature.
◇Attractions
・Idyllic Scenery: Standing on the pond's shore, you can see the Sagano mountains, including Mt. Ogura and Mt. Atago. The rural scenery is beautiful throughout the seasons, with cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage.
・Japan's Misawa Pond: It is counted as one of the "Japan's Misawa Ponds," along with Hatsuzawa Pond in Usa, Oita Prefecture, and Sarusawa Pond in Nara Prefecture.
・Historic District: Designated a Special Historical and Natural Preservation District in 1969, it was selected as one of the 100 Best Ponds in Japan in 2010.
