Curry shop "Myojo Curry"

arashiyama, hotel, breakfast,

It's not very well known, Curry is one of the most popular food in Japan. It was originally brought to Japan by the British, but over time it evolved into a uniquely Japanese dish.

In most cases, the very first dish people learn to cook in Japan is curry. We make curry on camping trips, and you’ll find curry in everything — curry udon, curry soba, curry bread, curry-flavored snacks… you name it!

As a result, there are amazing curry shops all over the country. Today, I’d like to introduce one of them: Myojo Curry.

arashiyama, hotel, breakfast,
Curry with Two Types of Sauce. (You can pick three as well.)

We have many varieties of curry, but this shop serves a very authentic spiced curry. Usually, this type of curry is very spicy and hot, but this one is mild and suitable for most people — simply because the owner-chef can’t handle spicy food.

This is green curry and tomato-based chicken curry — both were very tasty. BTW, I lived in Bangkok, Thailand for two years. Green curry is one of the best Thai dishes, so of course I had it many times.

Even after all that experience, this green curry is the best I’ve ever had.If you like curry, you definitely must try it!
