Bar "Thule Doux"

Arashiyama is a very special and peaceful place, but sometimes you just want a drink. There aren’t many bars around here, but there’s an awesome one just a 2-minute walk from our hotel.

It’s called "Thule Doux" and has over 40 years of history. The master bartender makes amazing cocktails just for you, all at very reasonable prices and with no cover charge.

Some bars in Japan can be a bit too formal or have strict rules, but this one isn’t like that. You can just relax and enjoy great drinks with the friendly bartender.

Not only cocktails, but also quality whiskies.

And of course, a good bar always has great music. Our master bartender is familiar with many kinds of music, so if the bar isn’t too busy, you might be able to request your favorite songs.
