Arashiyama's Bamboo Grove Path

Arashiyama's Bamboo Grove Path is one of Kyoto's most iconic tourist spots.

Stretching approximately 400 meters, the path offers a mystical atmosphere, as if you've been transported to another world.

●Highlights

The bamboo forest stretches along the path from Nonomiya Shrine, through the north gate of Tenryuji Temple, and on to the Okochi Sanso Garden, offering beautiful scenery throughout the four seasons.

Walking through the forest, the sounds of the bamboo leaves rustling in the wind and the stalks clanging against each other are soothing and relaxing, and extremely effective.

●How to Enjoy

We recommend touring the bamboo forest by rickshaw. The rickshaw driver will act as your guide, providing detailed information about the area's history and highlights.

We also recommend renting a kimono and strolling through the bamboo forest for a tasteful experience. There are plenty of photogenic spots, so why not create some wonderful memories?

●Access

Train: Approximately a 20-minute walk from the hotel or a 10-minute rental bicycle ride.

Approximately a 15-minute walk from JR Saga-Arashiyama Station.

Approximately a 10-minute walk from Randen-Arashiyama Station.

The bamboo forest in Arashiyama is a place where you'll discover something new every time you visit, so be sure to check it out!
