Abe no Seimei Saga Tomb is said to be the burial site of Abe no Seimei, a Heian-period onmyoji (magician). Located in Saga-Arashiyama, it lies in a quiet residential area.

・About Abe no Seimei: Abe no Seimei was a Heian-period onmyoji (magician). He gained the trust of successive emperors Murakami, Reizei, En'yu, Kazan, and Ichijo, as well as the Fujiwara clan, and achieved great renown as an onmyoji. He passed away on September 26, 1005 (Kanko 2) at the age of 85 and was buried in Saga.
・Pentagram: The pentagram-carved stones surrounding the tomb are majestic. The pentagram represents the conflicting influences of the five elements—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—based on the fundamental concept of Onmyodo (the theory of the Yin-Yang and Five Elements), and is said to ward off evil spirits.
